I have a new work laptop that is running windows 7 64 bit. when i connect my hp deskjet 990c printer, the system sees it, but it does not install a printer driver. if i create a new printer and try to select an appropriate driver, i don't see anything remotely like the deskjet 990.. Ive got a hp thin client that i need to setup a epson tm88 receipt printer on. the issue is the software will only recognise this printer if its setup with the generic/text only windows printer driver which hp decided not to include in the standard image for the device..
